Many transportation systems including autonomous vehicles and mobile apps rely heavily on GPS for everything from targeted advertising to ridesharing navigation to user authentication.
GPS though has its limits and is susceptible to a host of issues that can degrade performance ranging from too few satellites, interference from other signals, occlusions from other structures such as tall buildings. And while cellular connectivity can be leveraged to improve fidelity, gaps can still persist in location identification.
Accelerate Labs is developing an AI based sensor fusion to assist in outdoor hyperlocal targeting leveraging a plurality of modes to improve location identification. This system can help for example, delivery systems determine an appropriate stopping point for a vehicle, the location on a property of a front door, and a navigational route in between large building structures.
